Methods for the maintenance and upkeep of straw balers:
Before starting the machine, please first add 25 kg of gear oil (a single fill can provide continuous operation for over 10 years). After filling, tighten the oil‑filling plug.
Thoroughly inspect electrical wiring to prevent faults and leakage, ensuring safe electricity use.
Thoroughly inspect the machine’s motor and the bolts and screws at the connections of the transmission components to ensure they are securely tightened and free from looseness, so that any issues can be addressed promptly.
Set the preheating temperature according to the type of material. For corn and wheat straw, maintain a temperature between 80°C and 90°C; for peanut shells and rice husks, keep it between 80°C and 100°C.
After powering on, run the machine at idle for one minute to verify that the rotor is turning properly. Once confirmed, feed a small amount of material; only after all residual material has been discharged should you begin feeding at a steady rate.
Before loading, be sure to inspect the raw materials for hard foreign objects and prevent stones, metal fragments, and other debris from entering the hopper to avoid damaging the equipment.
Every 8 hours of operation, lubricate the universal joint once by adding 2–3 drops of grease. Before shutting down, feed a small amount of wet material to ensure smooth discharge when restarting the next day.
